If the sitting president is re-elected, the communists will go off the deep end - what we has seen the last 10 days or so are just training missions/getting warmed up. Things will come to a head between now and NOV - if the election is stolen with mail in- voter fraud and media censorship, next will come dictates that certain people will not obey/openly resist. We are losing the war right now for the most free nation on the planet. When I venture out I usually wear my T-shirts that have a minuteman kneeling with an AR in front of the US flag, or my shirt with "Democrat", "Republican", and an AR as the ballot choices, with the AR selected as my vote. I resist where I can - I speak of the communist Chinese Flu - not the COVID garbage - call it like it is. This is one more brain-washing effort to destroy the US culture - like taking down statues, declaring there are _ (fill in the blank) number of sexes, that women can be SEALs and SF Soldiers, etc., etc., etc. Gentlemen - the communists have been undermining the US society for decades and no one has begun to notice until recently. And enough was A LOOOOOONNNNNNGGG time ago!! What about vehicular manslaughter? Next will we have to take the CARs out of CARtoons?Įnough is enough. But who cares about explosives? As long as Elmer Fudd is disarmed our children are safe to now watch these cartoons, right? Forget about the Unabomber, the Time Square Bombing, the Boston Marathon Bombings, the Oklahoma City Bombing, the World Trade Center Bombing, the Underwear Bomber, Centennial Olympic Park, the list goes on. Yet explosive devices are depicted every bit as much, if not more, than in the original cartoon.Īpparently nearly 40,000 bombings in the United States in a 20 year period doesn't mean much. I don't think that is politically correct at all!Īpparently this decision was made due to the mass shootings that have taken place in the US. This just depicts hunters in a vile and barbaric image. The idea that Elmer no longer has a firearm, but is using a scythe to try to "hunt" Bugs Bunny I feel depicts hunters as primitive and barbaric with a lust for murder and mayhem! Surely a scythe would not dispatch game in a quick and humane manner compared to the shotgun he was using. Just respect each other's thoughts and feelings, and coexist. People don't have to agree with each other in order to get along. To me, that's far more politically correct as it shows both sides and also a peaceful resolution. The two of them could be amazing friends who both love, enjoy, and appreciate nature, but have a difference of opinion where hunting and animal consumption are concerned. They could both share their sides and their opinions without being angry or hostile to each other and could just agree to disagree. The vegan could say how emotionally, he cannot accept the idea of an animal being killed for consumption or human gain/profit. The viewer could actually be educated on several facts regarding the benefits of hunting that many people are unaware of. Elmer Fudd could explain all the benefits hunting has for conservation and proper wildlife Management, and how he appreciates organic meat free of artificial hormones, antibiotics, etc. The two of them would have calm and rational discussions about their opinions on hunting and/or consuming animals. If they truly wanted to be politically correct what they could do is introduce a new character who is a vegan. But in the name of "political correctness" our beloved Elmer Fudd has been stripped of his firearm. The bullet then tosses on a hat and grabs a suitcase and leaves. You may or may not be aware that HBO Max has relaunched Warner Brothers classic Looney Tunes Cartoons. This is a list of the various animated cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny. He starred in over 160 theatrical animated short films of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series produced by Warner Bros. In the cartoon, Elmer Fudd tries to blast Bugs Bunny, but the rabbit is so fast that the cartoon bullet stops in the middle of its trajectory, sprouts a mouth and arms, and exasperatedly announces that he's quitting the chase. It appears that Browngardt had a change of heart, because Comic Book Resources points out that the sixth episode of the second season, entitled "Rotund Rabbit," features Bugs Bunny squaring off with Elmer Fudd again, but this time he's carrying his trusty hunting rifle. But we can do cartoony violence - TNT, the Acme stuff. As Browngardt said, "We're not doing guns. Though he didn't cite any specific motivation about the exclusion of guns for Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam, it was assumed that the social climate surrounding gun violence was likely an influence. The lack of guns in the first season of Looney Tunes Cartoons was confirmed by executive producer Peter Browngardt not long after the first wave of animated shorts was released by HBO Max.
